The Founder
David H. Maree is the CEO, architect, and sole builder of Maree-DB - written from scratch in Rust. Every line of code, every patent application, every design decision: one person's work over years of focused effort.
Based in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, David built Maree-DB because the database industry had become a racket: massive licence fees, forced add-ons, legal restrictions on benchmarking, and the constant threat of audit. He decided to build the database he wished existed.
David holds 100% personal ownership of all intellectual property - patents, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. SupportCALL ICT Solutions is the principal licensed distributor and support provider; it does not own any IP.
